At the age of 13, Scott was thrust into a completely foreign world when his parents up and left California and settled in Basalt, Colorado. Harvesting firewood and big game in the fall soon became second nature in preparing for some hard and cold winters, which he had previously never experienced. Bucking hay bales, chasing cows and learning to handle a horse were new skills that his friends had a good laugh teaching him. During the winter months, skiing became a must. With the best mountains in North America only minutes away and lift tickets only being $7, Scott had found a sport that he would share with many and still does to this day. The Colorado lifestyle has become branded in Scott’s soul and one that he offers to share with all that come in contact with him.

Brooke decided to further her education in the ag industry by going to the University of Wyoming and studying Animal Science. During her time at the University of Wyoming, Brooke was involved in the Wyoming Collegiate Cattlemen’s Association. In these organizations she was able to learn many different life skills that she still uses to this day. Brooke has worked on many different cattle operations, including several feedlots in Texas and in Delta, Colorado. Her family raises commercial mother cows and consequently also raise hay every year to sustain their herd. She has her own small herd of mother cows, which she has increased by getting AI (artificially inseminate) certified to breed cattle. Brooke’s whole life she has been creating different businesses for herself, such as a small clothing line advertising the outfitting business to raising cattle and creating business relations with people around the world.

About Renee Morrison:

As a native of Western Colorado, born and raised in Rangeley, Renee has her roots firmly planted in Western Colorado. When her two children were in their teens, Renee decided to go into real estate. She knew that she wanted a job that would give her security and a sense of independence. So in 1986 she got her real estate license and she’s never looked back.

During that time Renee also was a co-owner of a rodeo stock contracting company where she and her family produced rodeos throughout Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. Her favorite part of working the rodeo was the great people she met and became lifelong friends. She also enjoyed working with and caring for the livestock each with their own distinct personalities.

Renee has spent the past 37 years selling real estate including: Residential, Commercial, Farm & Ranch properties. She also has experience selling Resort property in Misiones Del Cabo in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Franz Klammer Lodge in Telluride, CO and at the Ritz Carlton in Aspen, CO; Eagle Point and Falcon Point Resorts in Vail, CO.

Renee enjoys hiking into Native American “Rock Art” sites, viewing Barrier Canyon and Vernal style petroglyphs and pictographs.

Another pastime of Renee’s is quilting. She has been quilting since she was 5 years old, which she learned from her grandmother. Now Renee quilts for pleasure and belongs to several quilting guilds and participates in quilt shows in Glenwood and Rifle and helps to make donation quilts for Advocacy Safe House and the Veteran’s nursing home in Rifle.

In 2003 Renee opened ProWest Realty in the Roaring Fork Valley, where she owned and operated her business until 2012 before she came to Rifle working for another Real Estate office before joining United Country Real Colorado Properties.
